Safeguarding

At St White's we take the Safeguarding of our children very seriously. We have a Safeguarding team consisting of Mrs Cross who is the lead person, as well as Mr Brown and Mrs Tilling who are the deputy leads. We also have Mrs Catherine Musk who is a deputy safeguarding lead and a Safeguarding Governor, Mrs Hazel Bevan. Mrs Cinderey from the office also has a safeguarding role in relation to attendance and welfare.

The full details and structure of the safeguarding team is in the main reception area of school.

The Department for Education has published advice for schools on the Prevent duty, and we would also like to make you aware of a briefing note on how social media is used to encourage travel to Syria and Iraq, which is being published jointly by the Department for Education and the Home Office.

The school holds a Single Central Register of all members of staff and volunteers. All staff and volunteers are Enhanced DBS checked and this is recorded against the SCR. Any person who attends school and has regular, unsupervised and regulated activity with any pupil is required to undergo an Enhanced DBS check prior to commencing the work with us.

If you have any safeguarding concerns or queries, please contact one of the team.
