As a school, we really value attendance as we want the children to be 'Always Learning' and every day counts! In school, we celebrate the classes and the children with the best attendance.
Your child should be in school by 8.45am. We open the gates at 8.30am so there is plenty of time to get to the classes.
If you arrive after 8.45am, please bring your child to the office to sign in.
If your child is unable to come to school for any reason, please let the school know the reason for the absence and when they are expected to return before 9am.
You can do this by phoning the school on 01594 822311.
If your child is unwell, please state the nature of the illness - please do not say 'unwell'.
If we do not hear from you by 9am, regarding the absence, we will begin calling your contacts in the order you have supplied.
If we are unable to contact anyone to let us know that all is well, our next step will be to pay a home visit or ask for support from other agencies.
The Local Authority has a clear progression of actions that support schools and families with attendance and the school will follow these if needed.
