Reciprocal Reading - EEF Research Project
This year, we have been taking part in an exciting project through the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF). Mrs Kibble, Miss Meek and Mr Hayward have been taking part in training in relation to the intervention Reciprocal Reading as we are always learning about how we can support the pupils in school. This has involved full days of training and then using the plans in school. Mrs Kibble and Miss Meek have become experts in carrying out the intervention and using it with children in year 5 and year 6.
The EEF sent someone in to school to do a baseline with the children and they came in again at the end of the project. We are waiting to hear about what the results say.
We know that it has made a difference to the group who have improved on their skills in talking about their reading.
