Armistice Assembly

It was lovely to see so many parents join the children for the Armistice commemoration today.  The children sat with our silhouettes representing the fallen, which was very moving. The Royal British Legion once again supported the school.  There was a very moving talk, reading and trumpeter, who played beautifully before and after the two-minute silence.  Thank you for coming and giving so generously towards this extremely good cause.  The children’s artwork was beautiful and we know that parents really enjoyed the exhibition. Mrs Cross sent the school a ‘Rigby’ dog toy that was awarded to the class making the biggest contribution towards the community. This year, this is Jay class as a group of their children are working on improving local tourist attractions for partially sighted people. They will include Rigby in all their work.  Get ready to see him on the padlet and in the newsletter as he helps the children make a positive impact on their World.
